Waterville Valley Featured on ‘Windows to the Wild’

December 3, 2019

My husband and I don’t have cable television, so we are out of the loop when it comes to news, politics, hit (or miss) TV series, and local gems like NHPTV’s award-winning Windows to the Wild outdoor series. Back in the days when we had cable, we loved watching host Willem Lange as he hiked, paddled and explored New England.

I just received an email from Waterville Valley Recreation Department Director Brooke Wakefield letting me know that the one-and-only Willem Lange visited Waterville Valley in October. Brooke and locals Dan Newton and Brenda and Preston Conklin joined New Hampshire bookseller Steve Smith and Willem for a hike to the Cascades and a Waterville Valley history lesson.

Brooke also had an opportunity to plug the Recreation Department’s new hiking initiatives, including the Waterville Valley Redliner 125 Patch.

If you are like me and missed the original airing of the Windows to the Wild episode on Nov. 20, you can watch it in its entirety by clicking on the link below.
