Waterville Valley Parade of Homes: Green Peak Snows Mountain House

Tour Green Peak & the Snows Mountain House Columbus Day Weekend

Have you ever driven past an amazing house and said, “I would love to see the inside of that one?”  The Lakes Region Parade of Homes is your chance to do just that.  This year’s 3-day tour, from Oct. 12—14, includes some of the best and most interesting properties in the lakes and mountains of New Hampshire. It’s no coincidence that the tour takes place during the most naturally spectacular time of the year in New England – fall foliage! Fall colors are the perfect backdrop for the tour, which includes two homes with spectacular mountain views in Waterville Valley.

The two Waterville Valley homes, Green Peak and the Snows Mountain House, were designed and constructed by award-winning green home builder, ABODE, of Plymouth, NH.   During the Parade of Homes open house event you’ll have the chance to meet the builders from ABODE and see first-hand how green building techniques make these homes more energy efficient and environmentally friendly than a conventionally built home.

ABODE principal, Bob Wildes, and his team will be on-site to share information on the latest features in heating and cooling systems, energy efficient building practices, innovative building materials, windows, doors and appliances, kitchen and bath design and native New England products, along with eco-friendly landscaping practices.

While on the tour, don’t miss a special entry – The Children’s Charity House in Laconia. The house was built by members of Lakes Region Builders and Remodelers Association and will be sold with proceeds going to the Lakes Region children’s charity – The WLNH Children’s Auction. This house project was one of the biggest community events of 2013 and is a testament to the generosity of LRBRA members.  Nothing but the best will be on display including interior staging by some of the best design firms in the Lakes Region.

Visitors are welcome at Waterville Valley’s Green Peak (9 Devereaux Way) and Snows Mountain House (106 Boulder Path Road) on Saturday, Sunday and Monday, Oct. 12-14, 2013 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
