Waterville Valley is Hiring Leaf Painters

Fall is officially here and Waterville Valley Resort is looking for Leaf Painters ahead of the upcoming 2019 Foliage Season. Waterville Valley Resort is a premiere destination for Leaf Peeping and Fall Foliage with thousands of acres of pristine White Mountain National Forest surrounding our quaint town and Route 49. Every Fall we employ hundreds of Leaf Painters to slowly change the colors of the leafy trees in our valley from their vibrant summer green to more Autumn appropriate hues of red, orange, and yellow. 

Help wanted! Leaf painters for fall foliage in Waterville Valley NH

The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:

-Ability to work long nights in the woods (if guests see you, it will ruin the magic)

-Ability to differentiate between different hues of red, orange, and yellow (including but not limited to: Feuille-morte, russet, crimson, amber, scarlett, carmine, maroon, auburn, lurid, etc.)

-Experienced with use of paints and paint brushes

-A can-do attitude

-A love for nature and the White Mountain National Forest

-An attention to detail

Job responsibilities include:

-Painting assigned forest corridors, overnight, one leaf at a time

-Climbing trees

-Operating machinery (boom lifts, small cranes, atvs etc.)

-Navigation through the White Mountain National Forest

Those who are hired and perform well in this position have advancement opportunities including our end of fall Leaf Removal Team and winter preparation Snow Reception and Distribution Teams.
