November 23, 2011

Ten inches of new snow – so far!

Waterville Valley Resort‘s 45th skiing and riding season begins this Friday, Nov. 25, at 8 a.m. with skiing and riding at 4,000 feet elevation. Ride the White Peaks Express Quad and access the High Country lift for all of your turns. Lift ticket prices will be $35 Adult, $25 Teen, and $15 Youth. Terrain park features will be set-up on High Country and Exhibition Terrain Park. The Rental Shop and Snowsports Desk will be open. Private lessons only will be offered. The Schwendi Hutte, Base Lodge and T-Bars Restaurant will all be open to grab a bite, regroup or warm up.  On Saturday, Nov. 26, Waterville Valley will host the pre-season tradition that is the Rome Premature Jibulation. Thanks to new Terrain Park dedicated snow guns, this snowboard-only event will be held in Exhibition Terrain Park. Registration begins at 9 a.m. in the Event Yurt.  On Sunday, Exhibition Terrain Park features will be open to everyone for hiking only. Get your “Hiking Only” lift ticket from the Lift Ticket window. It won’t cost a thing!
