Larry Gannon, the force of nature behind Waterville Valley Adaptive Sports’ annual Cold Turkey Plunge, is up to his usual shenanigans and has organized the first ever Midsummer Night’s Waterville Valley Pub Crawl for Saturday, August 5, starting at 4 p.m.
Larry explained that this isn’t a “sanctioned” event by any of Waterville Valley’s nonprofit organizations. It’s just another wacky idea by a wild and crazy guy (think Steve Martin and Dan Aykroyd at their finest playing the Festrunk Brothers). It’s all about having fun with friends and neighbors (and if you don’t know your neighbors; well, this is the perfect chance to get to know them!)
The festivities will start at 4 p.m. on Aug. 5 at the brand new Coyote Cabana bar, located at the White Mountain Athletic Club’s new outdoor pool. The pub crawlers will proceed from bar to bar around the Valley, finally finishing up at the Waterville Valley Golf Club where there will be food and activities like a driving contest off the tubing hill, a full contact corn hole tournament, and some after-dark bocce ball!
Anyone and everyone (21+ of course) is invited to participate. In order to keep the group size manageable, the Pub Crawl will be limited to the first 50 people to sign-up. The cost is $25 per person, which includes pizza, burgers, dogs, etc. at the finish, PLUS a designer Pub Crawl t-shirt, which is sure to become a collector’s item.
Email Larry to reserve your spot at firstname.lastname@example.org.
I’m going to be out-of-state on vacation and will miss the fun. Hopefully, someone will take plenty of photos and send them my way!
