Waterville Valley Students Stock Trout in Mad River

May 13, 2013

Waterville Valley Elementary School stocked 432 brook trout fry in the Mad River today as part of the Trout in the Classroom program.

About 50 trout fry remain in the school tank, which will grow larger in the next month. The remaining trout will be stocked in June.

Some parents enjoyed watched the stocking and several members of the Pemigewasset Chapter of Trout Unlimited watched and helped handling the fish.

The students all seemed to have a great time counting and placing the fry in the river.
