Waterville Valley Elementary School kicked off the 2018/19 school year yesterday. Our unique ‘little’ red schoolhouse is one of the top academic elementary schools in New Hampshire.
There are a number of new faces at the school. According to WVES principal, Gale Adams-Davis, “…We have a pretty high amount of new staff members. It would be easy to be down in the dumps about losing these great resources we had. However, as I have been given opportunities to meet new applicants and go through the interview process, there is this excitement welling up in me that leads me to believe that this is an opportunity for new growth. The staff members we have chosen are very well qualified and share a similar vision for the teaching profession and our school.”
New staff members include Sarah Gagnon, grades 3-5 (covering for Kate Smarz who is on maternity leave); Kimberly Sychterz, grades 6-8; Tara Talamini, Special Education; Jude Wilcox, Art; Eydie Kendall, PE; and Sarah Kulakovich, Paraprofessional.
Principal Adams-Davis said, “We are very excited to welcome four new kindergarteners, two new third graders, one new fourth grader, one new sixth grader, and one new seventh grader.”
Welcome new students and faculty to the Waterville Valley community!
