What do Bermuda, the Kentucky Derby & Shortbread Cookies have in common?

February 26, 2013

A private jet ride to Bermuda, plus three days, two nights at the Pompano Beach Club, a trip to the Kentucky Derby, including three nights hotel accommodations and two 2nd floor grandstand seats, and homemade shortbread cookies.  These are just three of the 200+ items available to bid on in the annual WVBBTS Online Auction!

You can tell it’s been a long, cold winter.  The auction category that I keep returning to is Travel.  But there’s something for everyone.  Auction items range from exotic vacation getaways (oh, how I wish I had the money…and wasn’t afraid of flying…I’d bid on the private jet to Bermuda) to Boston Bruins and Celtics tickets to custom bar stools engraved with the BBTS logo.  You could bid on two dozen cranberry oatmeal white chocolate chip cookies from the McCabe family, or two dozen Scottish shortbread cookies.  How about a barefoot waterskiing lesson with Tom Cleaveland or Kim Khazei‘s voice on your answering machine?  The trip to Costa Rica and the luxurious Caribbean villa look particularly appealing to me (did I mention it’s been a long, cold winter?).

Don’t dawdle.  The auction closes at 9 p.m. on Sunday, March 3, 2013!
