When is the Athletic Club Pool Opening?!

July 24, 2017

When will the new outdoor pool at the White Mountain Athletic Club open? That is the million dollar question!

Construction is almost finished on the brand new 62,000-gallon pool with 25-meter lap lanes, family play areas, underwater benches, deck jets, underwater color lighting, a “pool temperature” whirlpool spa overlooking the White Mountains, built-in basketball and pool volleyball amenities, and 1,600 square foot “splash pad” with a wide variety of water soaking features.

Here is general manager Rene Schwartz’s latest update:

The State of NH Dept. of Environmental Services (NHDES) has approved the outdoor pool pending the following punch down list.

  • Secured perimeter fencing – to be completed this week.  The last area for fence installation is in the back – where we are installing a beach volleyball court still under construction.
  • The installment of a second hand railing at the entrance – due in tomorrow, Tuesday, July 25.
  • Water quality test (pool balanced) – in progress.
  • Pool furniture set up and staff training.

We expect most of these items to be done early this week and the pool to open sometime during later in the week!

The early responses from members, guests and other valley locals have been very positive and we thank you for your patience as we finish up this exciting addition!
