White Mountain National Forest Seeks Public Input

The Pemigewasset Ranger District of the White Mountain National Forest is seeking public comment on the proposed Wanosha Integrated Resource Project.  

The project includes recreation, transportation, and vegetation and wildlife habitat management activities on national forest lands in Waterville Valley, Campton, Thornton, Sandwich, Woodstock and Livermore Townships.  

Smarts Brook Mountain Bike Trail System

There is a proposal to establish a mountain biking trail network and associated parking at Smarts Brook. 

Waterville Valley Campground Improvements

The Forest Service proposes to enhance the facilities, user experience and improve site safety and aesthetics at the Waterville Valley and Campton Campgrounds, including the ability to accommodate modern-day, larger recreational vehicles.

Welch-Dickey Trailhead Overflow Parking Lot

The Forest Service proposes to improve parking at the Welch-Dickey trailhead. 

The public is invited to submit written comments during the scoping period.  Comments must be postmarked or received by March 26, 2018.  Be sure to include your name, address, title of the project, and signature.

I just visited the Forest Service’s website and it doesn’t appear they have posted this information yet. Click on the link below to read the complete document.  There is also a map, but it is too big for me to scan.  It’s available in my office if you’d like to stop by and look at it.
