Alpine skiers and riders are loving the early season conditions at Waterville Valley. Nordic skiers are understandably jealous and chomping at the bit to hit the Valley’s 70+ km of trails.
Nordic Director, Ian Cullison, just told me that if we get 3-4” between now and Friday, then they may be able to open the Nordic trail system this weekend.
This morning Ian posted in his online Director’s Diary, “We picked up an inch plus overnight and while that’s not quite what we wanted we still have another chance to gain some snow tonight. So stay tuned while we wait for this next system to move through. Grassy places like the golf course and teaching area will likely be safe for anyone really looking to stretch their legs.”
